How the Fixed Belt Conveyor Roller Classify?

Roller is used to support the conveyor belt and carry of the material, to ensure the stability of the conveyor belt.
In general, the fixed belt conveyor roller is the following:
1.Trough roller: it is also known as carrying roller which is used for carrying bulk material;
2.Parallel roller: parallel upper roller is used for carrying materials, parallel lower roller is to support the return branch of the conveyor belt;
3.Self-aligning roller: it includes taper aligning supporting roller and friction aligning roller which are mainly used for adjusting the belt deviation to avoid S-shaped, so as to ensure the stable operation of conveyor belt;
4.Impact roller: it is installed in the lower part of the conveyor belt, which can reduce the impact of the conveyor belt to extend the service life of the conveyor belt;
5.Return roller: it supports the conveyor belt of lower branch,including parallel type, V type, inverse V type,etc. V and inverse V type roller can reduce the conveying belt deviation possibilities;
6.Transition roller: it is installed between the drum and the first set of roller, which makes the conveying belt gradually turns from through shape into or flat shape and reduce additional stress of the conveying band edge turns to trough shape due to the expansion, at the same time,it can prevent the material spreading phenomenon of conveyor belt.
In addition, the comb type roller and screw roller, which can remove the sticky material on conveyor belt to keep the conveyor belt clean. 

Notice! Prohibit the following things during the operation of mobile belt conveyor

During the operation of mobile belt conveyor, if we operate it in the wrong way, it may lead to short service life, conveyor damage, even hurt the operator, please see the following things which are prohibited during the operation of the mobile belt conveyor:
1. Prohibit turning on the switch before making sure all nuts and bolts are tighten.
We usually disassemble the mobile belt conveyor during transport process. Customer needs to assemble it on site. If the nuts and bolts are loose, they may fall off during operating, thus, it will be a great potential safety hazard.
2. Prohibit changing the conveyor head direction before shutting down the switch.
Please shut down the switch first if when you want to change the conveyor head direction, or it will be easy to hurt the operator.
3. Prohibit moving the conveyor before shutting the switch
Mobile belt conveyor is a kind of light- weight conveyor, it can be moved anywhere, however, please shut down the switch first before moving it to ensure the safety of the operator.
4. Prohibit standing under the conveyor.
Please note, prohibit standing under the conveyor no matter operate the conveyor or not.

Five Maintenance Tips for Belt Conveyor Roller

Belt conveyor roller is an important part for belt conveyor. It accounts for 35% of a belt conveyor total cost and bears more than 70% of the resistance. So the maintenance of conveyor roller is particularly important. Today PK Machinery will share some maintenance tips with you:

1. Generally speaking, the roller normal service life is more than 20000 h and it doesn’t need maintain. But according to application place and load capacity, we should formulate a maintenance date correspondingly, as well as cleaning, adding grease and maintenance etc. For the rollers which with abnormal sound or rollers don’t rotate, please to replace timely.
2. When replace the bearing, keep the bearing opening outward, spare proper clearance when put the bearings into the roller.
3. The labyrinth seals should adopt original accessories, put the seals into the roller respectively when assembly.

 

4. During operation, the rollers should be protected from heavy items hitting the tube.
5. In order to ensure the roller sealing performance and using performance, free disassembly roller is prohibited.
